Crystal City Announces 2nd Annual Crystal Screen –
From Crystal City with Love - Outdoor Film Festival Featuring
21 Weeks of James Bond

Crystal City (Arlington, VA) – Crystal City will be shaken and stirred on Monday nights when it kicks off its 2nd Annual Crystal Screen Outdoor Film Festival featuring film favorite, James Bond. The 21-week spy series, presenting the entire official collection of the sizzling, sophisticated, action-packed films that make up one of the most successful collections in movie history, will air on Monday evenings starting May 5 through September 22, 2008.

“Bond is a classic for all time and ages,” said Angela Fox, President/CEO of the Crystal City Business Improvement District. “Visitors thoroughly enjoyed the variety of promotions and partnerships that we profiled with last year’s Clint Eastwood series. So, we can only imagine the fun we’ll have this season with the famous spy collection. Not only do we get to make great use of one of our many open spaces, we get to showcase the sparkle and style that make Crystal City the up-and-coming urban village that we know it to be.”

Crystal Screen’s “From Crystal City With Love” will be shown in the large, grassy courtyard along S. Bell Street between 18th Street and 20th Street. Utilizing one of Crystal City’s many open spaces, the courtyard is kitty-corner to the Crystal City Metro and directly across from Arena Stage and the Crystal City Marriott.

The movies will start at sundown, rain or shine (with the exception of severe inclement weather). In addition, the festival will include special contests, prizes, and fun themes. Movie patrons can visit www.crystalcity.org (click on events) for schedule details.
