Baby Your Bike at the City Hub
Get Ready for a Season of Biking in Crystal City
Spring is early and it’s time to pump up those bicycle tires and jump in the saddle. To make sure your bike is ready to ride, the Crystal City Business Improvement District and the Revolution Cycles City Hub are proud to announce their new “Baby Your Bike” seasonal maintenance program, along with an awesome line-up of events.
“Baby Your Bike” is the equivalent of “parents’ day out” for your bike. Crystal City commuters can drop off their bikes on a weekday and then head to the office. While at work, these bikes will be “babied” by expert City Hub technicians providing a quick tune-up (includes adjustment on brakes, gears, drive train, and minor wheel truing), at a discounted price of $74.99 that cyclists can appreciate. At the end of the day, owners can pick up bikes and ride home knowing that their wheels are in tip-top, safe condition. The Baby Your Bike special is available through March 31st.
Don’t own a bike? The Revolution Cycles City Hub provides a creative rental program for residents, employees, and area guests. The City Hub’s fleet of 100 Trek Allant hybrids is large enough to accommodate groups wishing to have an active opportunity to tour the region, sightsee, and explore the hundreds of miles of bike trails and lanes accessible from Crystal City. The City Hub’s new assortment of Trek Madone road bikes gives fitness enthusiasts, triathletes, and hardcore cyclists the opportunity to take a spin on the “Ferrari” of bicycles at an affordable price.
Crystal City is a great place to start and end your cycling jaunts. Free parking in select garages after 4 PM and all-day on weekends combined with proximity to trail heads for the Mt. Vernon and Four Mile Run Trails make Crystal City the perfect place to Park & Ride Your Bike.
Do not miss out on exciting cycling events in Crystal City, such as the Crystal City’s Bike to Work Week from May 14th -18th and the annual Air Force Cycling Classic and Crystal Ride on June 10th. The Revolution Cycles City Hub and the Crystal City BID will also host monthly social rides in June, July, and August, including the popular Monuments Ride.
Whether an avid or occasional cycle commuter, a serious cycle competitor, a cycle race enthusiast, or strictly a recreational rider, Crystal City can meet any cyclists’ need. Visit www.crystalcity.org for additional detail on the area’s “Bike Culture” assets and to learn more about upcoming events.
