VRE
The Virginia Railway Express (VRE) represents one of the most popular non-metro systems for Crystal City employees. Located adjacent to the Crystal City Water Park, the Crystal City VRE station provides convenient transit access to suburban Virginia commuters seeking a reprieve from the area’s congested roadways. Serviced by both the Manassas and Fredericksburg VRE lines, the station boasts the second highest ridership, second only to L’Enfant Plaza in downtown DC. A fair number of savvy Crystal City residents also take advantage of the VRE as an express train directly to downtown without any stops.
